Democrazy

I was laying down working on another drawing, (trying to break a rather bad close-up slump I am in) when MSN Messenger tells me that I've got mail...Well, as it would turn out a friend of mine asked me for the address of my friend's rant page and when I went to find the URL, I remembered that another great friend of mine had tossed his hat into the ranting ring. Well, in the past I have tried to avoid such topics as Religion, Government, Death, but now I am afraid I must step forward, and offer a different perspective on such topics.....The following is in no disrespect to anyone.

"The entire basis for our country's government came from the Bible itself...I read that somewhere over 90% of the men that helped write the Constitution were Christians and avid churchgoers. That tells you something, doesn't it?" Well, doesn't it?! Okay, the little know facts about our glorious democracy was that about 100% of those men were either adulterers, conglomerates, monopolist, plunderers, killers, or cowards. Most falling into multiple categories...I do believe it was a little fellow by the name of Thomas Jefferson, (sound familiar?) who said, "A little Rebellion every now and again is a good thing." Meaning, change is good...But how far have we really strayed from the ideas of the Constitutionals? They thought free will, speech, religion, etc. would be a good thing. Now we shun such things. They thought baring arms was an avid idea to keep out trespassers. Now, the trespassers are your neighbors kids armed to the teeth. They thought we should be an honest country, and lead the way to peace. Now, we lie to everyone, (including ourselves) and promote the slaughtering of anyone whom apposes our ideas and culture. Well, it sounds like we have turned into the illegitimate child of our forefathers. Chaos runs amuck. Refrigerator companies build our bombs, mass-murders stay alive while their victims are mourned for, political correctness prevents conversation, and surveillance is everywhere. When did America go from white wigs to green mohawks?
