finally I figured out
these things I’ve felt inside
like jagged tiger claws
tearing at the threads of my mind

ships that sail through the sky
and clouds who float on the sea
daemons taunting me about
missed opportunities

women wearing flowers
as a second head of hair
sprouting wings with shiny things
to lift them in the air

what I’ve been waiting for
to burn out twice as bright
in the graceful beauty’s roar

long sleepless nights
stand against restless day dreams
with dragons that swim
beneath the moon’s grey beams

coke bubbles dilating
like the love in your eyes
with neon green ribbon
to your halo I’m tied

these are the things
