Gypsy Angel (in the lovely shape of beauty)

she doesn't see her beauty
but she says she can see mine
I don't know what she's thinking
but I don't really mind
I want to see the world
the same way as she
and I want to experience life
in the lovely shape of beauty

she can read the minds
of every person she meets
but she swears she can't read mine
before these crowded streets
I really hope she can
so that she may see
she is the only one of us
in the lovely shape of beauty

she says nothing is worth saving
except of course for me
I don't know why she thinks this
or what she seems to see
she could reshape the world
and force everything to be
more like herself
in the lovely shape of beauty

she says that she is broken
and will never be the same
her heartbeat once was stolen
and her body was then maimed
I will build a wall
to keep her safe from me
and to help keep her
in the lovely shape of beauty

I hope that I can fix her
and help her realize
for years she has been mistaken
living through closed eyes
I want her to see herself
with the same intensity
and I want her to experience life
in the lovely shape of beauty

Take me home
